Karen Gwin is a seasoned finance expert with more than 30 years of legal, professional, and non-profit experience. As the Director of Finance & Administration for The Alexander Group and Alex & Red, Ms. Gwin provides vision and direction regarding financial planning and reporting, budgeting, and human resources management, as well as assessing and overseeing implementation of new technology at both firms.

Before joining The Alexander Group and Alex & Red, Ms. Gwin served as treasurer and Chief Financial Officer at New Hope Housing Inc, a non-profit that provides safe and affordable housing for the unhoused. Her extensive skillset includes experience in legal practice management/administration and multi-site accounting management, as well as a strong background in litigation and managing non-attorney personnel in support of complex commercial state and federal cases.

Ms. Gwin earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Houston-Downtown and an MBA in Finance from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. She is a certified public accountant.
